    WW1 officers compass and leather case dated 1916/18 and in good working condition.The leather case is marked to R Stafford a well known retailer dated 1916 with the war department stamp, it has supple leather with a nice brown colour finish and is complete with a leather shoulder strap.The leather does show age related wear on the case and the leather shoulder strap but still has a good aged leather finish with good colour.The compass is maker marked F Barker & Sons London 1918 and is in good working order with its original finish intact,the makers details have been photographed and show the date 1918 on the front with the war department stamp and patent details on the back.The compass is in working order and is oil filled with the two hinges on the front cover and the small metal cover are worn but in place and complete.A very conditioned item to find these days in this condition with the arrow stamp on the leather case and the compass,please see the photographs for further detail.
