    WW1 Period British army 1913 ptn jack knife in good used condition.The jack knife is complete with age related wear caused through use,the knife is maker marked for G Butler & Co with the company logo just above this has been photographed.The grips show age related wear and tear caused through use,the metal parts of the knife show age related colour with the merlin spike having some detail stamped into it with the letters and numbers RE 341403 the stampings can be made out but are poorly done.The jack knife is 12 cm long when all parts are closed into the knife the knife has no other markings other than the maker mark, the condition of the jack knife is in good used condition with tight hinges and no play from the blades or merlin spike when open and only a little from the merlin spike when closed,please see the photographs for further detail.Only available to customers over 18 years of age.
    The pattern 6353/1905 jack knife was updated in 1913 just before ww1 with changes to the grips and the three attachments being made from the best cast steel. This model of jack knife was used by the British army up until 1939 when it was replaced with a smaller variant.Some examples do have dates for when they were made with the ww1 period example normally being undated and without the W/D markings although this can vary.UK sales only to over 18s please remember to enter your date of birth when making your registration to the website,thank you.
