Description
WW1 1907 bayonet in good used condition with a 1944 dated scabbard (Australian) in good used condition. The bayonet was issued August 1917 it has been re-issued in 1934 and 1938 it has the bend test mark with the war department arrow.
There is no maker mark visible to see although it has many inspection stamps. The wooden grips have a slot by the cross guard which with the pommel show age related colour. The full length blade is bright and clean and in good condition.
The leather scabbard is dated 1944 and Australian made it is marked M44/JBB though this is faint to see the metal fittings top and bottom are tight to the leather and both ends retain there blued finish, the leather is in good condition.
