Description
WW1 Imperial German Bavarian King Ludwig volunteer medal court mounted in very good condition.
It was awarded to volunteers who during this war have performed with particular merit for the army.
It was also awarded for the general welfare of the homeland through official and voluntary activities.
The medal was originally made from iron and bronze with later war examples being made of zinc.
It retains the black finish with some very light rubbing n the high points showing it is a bronze example and court mounted.
