Description
WW1 Officers private purchase haversack and leather strap in good used condition. The haversack shows age related wear and tear to its finish and fittings but is complete with no damage.
The metal fittings show age related colour, the top leather strap shows age related wear and is a little dry. The two metal clips at the bottom of the haversack show age related colour to the finish.
The canvas type material is supple and free from damage but does show age related colour and wear in places. The leather at the bottom of the haversack is complete and supple, again showing signs of use with age related colour.
The front of the haversack is secured by two leather straps with two compartments inside. The back of the haversack has a popper fitting which opens up to three compartments. The haversack does have a webbing shoulder strap as per the photographs.
