Description
WW2 American front seam swivel bale McCord steel helmet and liner in good used condition. The steel helmet shows little age related wear with a good percentage of its original factory finish still intact.
The helmet has its camo net in place and the cork chippings still showing in the original finish.
It has a heat stamp number 991D which dated its to August /September 1944. The steel helmet has its webbing chin straps in place with the black painted catch in place.
The fibre liner has a makers mark for Westinghouse. The liner in in good condition with no damage and little signs of use.
All the webbing strapping inside the liner are complete with its neck strap marked A M Stay Co W 11-009 QM 16875 LARGE. The leather sweatband shows little signs of use with age related wear showing from storage.
The liner strap is a post war replacement for display purposes.
