• WW2 Homefront F.A.P first aid party steel helmet in very good used condition. The steel helmet has the three holes each side of the rim to show it was not for military use so this helmet like so many is for homefront issue only. The steel helmet retains its original black painted finish with just the odd mark on it and the letter F.A.P painted onto the front of the steel helmet, this can be seen in the photographs. The steel helmet retains its original chin strap and liner with the liner being a size 7 with a makers mark of B.M.B and a date of 1940, the steel helmet is also marked B.M.B with the same date 1940. B.M.B stands for Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd of Dagenham who produced steel helmets from 1939 to 1943 and liners from 1939 to 1945.Tied to the liner is a name tag for C Bono MacDonald 24 Barn Way Wembley park the steel helmet is all original and in the condition rarely seen and fine example,please see the photographs for further details.
