  • £28.00

WW1 Australian Press photograph of a captured bunker known as ANZAC in good used condition. The photograph is 213mm wide and 165mm high and shows ANZAC pillbox all the German pillboxes on the line were given names for reference, captured by Australian troops in the attack of the 1st and 2nd Australian Divisions, on 20 September 1917.The photograph is one of the most shocking to see and shows the western front for all its horror. The photograph was in a album of press photographs stuck into a photograph album, the album was in very poor condition with all the photographs stuck onto the sheets of card within the album. This has resulted in the details normally showing on the back of the photograph not being visible to see but I have been very lucky with a military historian giving me the details of the photograph. The photographs are all to do with the Australian divisions when in France and Belgium and I believe them to be from the year 1917.Please see the photographs for further details, free postage for UK customers.
