WW1 Letter of condolence for 2nd Lt Clifford White 200th M.G.C dated 29th September 1917 in complete condition.The letter shows age related wear and tear but is still complete, the letter was sent by Major J Seafield Grant commanding the 200th M.G. Company on the 29th September 1917. 2nd Lt Clifford white volunteered on the 14th November 1915 as a private in the Royal fusiliers and gained promotion to 2nd Lt,he joined the M.G.C 25th September 1916. 2nd Lt White was killed in action on the 26th September 1917 and is mentioned with honour at the Tyne Cot Memorial, a copy of his certificate is included with the letter as is a copy of his medal card.A very moving letter which praises his ability as a officer and how he was beloved by all his men.
