Description
WW1 1907 bayonet and scabbard in good used condition. The bayonet has a makers mark for Wilkinson and was issued in 1917 and re-issued post war, the bayonet has many stampings showing with the war department arrow and the bend test mark clear to see. The bayonet is in good used condition with many parts still retaining the blued finish and the blade is clean and un-polished but showing age related colour with an edge having been applied, the pommel is marked T.10.KINGS 574 which is for the territorial 10 battalion Kings own the number 574 is also stamped on the throat of the scabbard so the bayonet and scabbard are matching numbers and original to each other. The bayonet retains its original wooden grips and other all is a very nice example, the scabbard is the tear drop type and has the number 574 stamped on the throat the metal fittings each end have the blued finish showing with age related colour the leather is supple and has all the stitching intact with no faults.
