WW1 Officers mess tin set named to F.R Salter Rifle brigade in good condition.The mess set consists of multiple containers and burners to cover all the needs of a officer in the trenches,all the items show some age related wear with condition being very good for its age.The two sets are in there original cloth covers which are clearly marked to F.R Salter,one set has its original leather strap which shows age related wear and tear and the cloth covers again show age with wear to some of the stitching this has been photographed.
The officers named went to France in 1915 and won the 1914/15 star with the war and victory medals,he also was promoted to captain during his service.A copy of the officers medal card will be included with the mess set,please see the photographs for further detail.
