WW1 Lewis gun magazine carrier dated 1917 and in good used condition.The webbing carrier is maker marked for Hampton & Sons Ltd and is clearly marked carriers magazine Lewis .303 gun with the dated 1917 below.The webbing carrier would normally have two carriers that clipped together with both being able to hold four magazines, the webbing carrier is complete with no rips or tears and all of its stitching in in place it was also known as the Lewis bucket.The webbing does show age related wear and the brass fitments have good age related colour, on the bottom of the webbing carrier is a ink mark 1 M AN which has been photographed.A very rare item to find please see the photographs for further detail.
