Description
Australian 1907 bayonet and scabbard in good used condition. The bayonet is maker marked for Lithgow with the issue date of August 1921 below the Australian star and shield 1907 mark.
It has the war department arrow with the bend test mark and inspection stamps on the ricasso along with the Australian star mark each side.
The pommel and cross guard show age related colour with the pommel having marking as per the photograph. It does show sign of use on the end of the pommel.
The full length blade of the bayonet retains its original factory blued finish.
It retains its original wooden grips.
The leather scabbard is in good used condition and comes with a tear drop frog stud. It shows signs of age with the metal fittings tight to the leather shaft.
