Description
Boer war / WW1 three draw telescope in good working condition. The telescope is three draw out sections so when extended it has four parts which are all a good tight fit with no play in them the first section is maker marked for L Casella London with the war department arrow and the letter I underneath for Indian army issue it is clearly dated 1902 at the bottom of the detail. The leather finish is good with nice age-related colour it has some leather tabs missing on the main body which does not affect it in anyway, it has one leather lens cover with one missing the leather cover has a metal insert inside the cover the telescope does have a cover built into the first section of the telescope. The telescope is in good working condition and can be focused to give a good clear view considering its age the sunshade part of the telescope can be moved into place and again is a good tight fit. A very nice example of a spotter’s telescope used with a sniper or for the artillery, please see the photographs for further details.
