Description
Rare German 1939 uncirculated Nurnberg rally of peace postcard in good condition. The postcard is one of a group of six produced but never put into use as the rally was on the planned date was the 1st September which was the day Germany invaded Poland so the rally was cancelled. James Bender’s reference book Postcards of Hitler’s Germany Volume 2 features an example of a uncut sheet as this is how they were found originally all un-cut, the sheet is sandwiched to another two sheets. A popular artwork was printed on the reverse to be sold to the general public to save valuable resources. The postcard is a cut example with the two sheets still attached to the back and shows good colour detail to the front the boarders are not even it is as found and has a small mark to the front top centre.
