Description
WW1 Officers binoculars and leather case in good used condition. The binoculars are maker marked for Dolland of London. They have the war department arrow and are marked to the Scots Guards on the shaft of the binoculars.
Condition is very good with the black painted finish and leather grips in good condition. The binoculars give a good clear view when focused, they do show some age related wear.
The leather case is a marriage to the binoculars so not the original case from new. It is from the same period with the front buckle having lost its leather covering this is still in place on the shoulder strap.
It has excellent age related colour with all its stitching in place and showing good age related colour to the leather finish. Inside the case has a maker mark of Aitchison & Co London and the top of the case is marked G.L.B.
The shaft of the binoculars are extended to fit the case correctly.
