WW1 Royal West Kent officers shoulder rank tunic named and dated 1917 in very good condition for its age.The tunic is named to a Captain H.S.H. Hall and is clearly dated 23/10/17 on the tailors label from Thresher & Glenny of the Strand London,the tunic has all its original buttons with its collar badges for the Royal West Kent regiment and three pips on each shoulder board to show the rank of captain.The tunic is a classic first world war officers tunic with the flared large pockets and a waistband running round the tunic,it does have a little moth damage which has been photographed but nothing that you would not expect with a tunic nearly one hundred years old.Captain Hall is listed on the C.W.G.C website and in the official officers died in the great war 1914-1919 publication,he died on the 24/10/18 showing the tunic had one years use up until his death and he is buried in India Calcutta at the Bhowanipore cemetery Kolkata aged 36 at his time of death.
