WW2 40 ptn battledress tunic in good used condition. The battledress tunic is dated 1944 and is size 13 the label has been photographed for the actual sizes should that be required.The battledress tunic is in very good condition with just one small moth nip on the back of the tunic this has photographed, the tunic has its shoulder titles for the Royal Engineers in place with the 30 corps formation patches just underneath followed by the flaming grenade and then the sergeant stripes all are period and original to the battledress tunic.The tunic retains all its original buttons, the tunic also has a medal bar fitted showing the owner won the 1939 star with the France and Germany star followed by the defence medal ribbon. A very nice and rare battledress tunic to find which has no name but from the date and the service medals awarded could well have been used in the battle to reach Arnhem by 30 corps in September 1944. The battledress tunic does show age related wear and tear with the stitching on one of the sergeant stripes having come away very slightly this does not affect he item in anyway and has been left as found.
