Description
WW2 American Cattaraugus 225Q fighting knife in good used condition. It is clearly marked for Cattaraugus 225Q just above the cross guard.
The blade is bright with signs of sharpening and some age related wear. It has a leather grip that is complete and tight with signs of use.
On the end of the pommel it has a patterned finish showing age related colour.
It’s original leather scabbard has good aged colour to the leather finish with its stitching intact. The leather securing strap and popper are in place and working.
The scabbard does show some age related wear at the front.
The Cattaraugus was pressed into service before the M3 fighting knife was available during WW2.
It was used by special forces, a well made good solid fighting knife.
