Description
WW2 American front seam swivel bale McCord steel helmet and liner in good used condition. The steel helmet has age related wear with a good percentage of its original factory finish still intact.
It is a used combat steel helmet with age related colour showing in places.
The helmet has its camo net in place and the cork chippings still showing in the original finish.
It has a heat stamp number 786 the 7 is not that clear to see but is there. It dated its to February/March 1944. The steel helmet has its webbing chin straps in place with the black painted catch in place.
The fibre liner has a makers mark for International moulded plastics Incorporated . The liner in in good condition it does have a fracture at the front which is stable with no movement.
All the webbing strapping inside the liner are complete with its neck strap marked S.M.C Medium W 11-009 QM 16874. The leather sweatband shows signs of use with minor age related wear showing.
The liner strap is just post war it is marked D.O.T on the rivet to the catch.
