Description
WW2 German 2nd class iron cross EK2 in good used condition. The iron cross is three part construction with a magnetic core. The medal ring is stamped 24 which is for Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Hanauer Plakettenhersteller Hanau am, Main. Iron cross makers 23, 24 and 25 were guilds of men and women who made iron crosses under those PKZ numbers as opposed to a specific firm who made the crosses under their own makers number.
The marking on the ring is not the best I have seen with the number 2 poorly struck.
The outer frame shows some age related colour while the iron core has age showing to the original finish. The medal ribbon is a replacement ribbon.
