Description
WW2 2nd pattern Wilkinson Fairbairn-Sykes commando dagger in good used condition. The dagger has Wilkinson etched panels which show age related wear , this has been photographed. The dagger is 29 cm 11.41 inches long with a blade length of 16.5 cm 6.5 inches with the blade being hand finished and showing age related wear to the bright finish, the fit to the cross guard and blade is very good and tight as is the handle with its knurled finish crisp showing good detail the cross guard still retains its blued finish while the grip has age related wear to its blued finish. The dagger has its correct scabbard with the square ended chape with this type used on both 2nd and 3rd pattern daggers this does have a slight ding which has been photographed, the elastic strap on the scabbard has broken and left as found with the leather finish is in good condition with supple leather and with all its stitching in place.
