Description
1853 ptn socket bayonet and 1856 ptn scabbard in good used condition. The bayonet is maker marked for Francis Preston of Manchester.
The bayonet dated to 1855 the only year of production with only 9,000 units made.
It has a 1856 ptn leather scabbard with a side stitched seam and brass fittings.
The bayonet has a 15 inch blade which is clean and in very good condition.
Both items are in very good condition with signs of use and age.
