Description

German officers parade dagger and scabbard with knot and hangers a complete set in very good used condition. The dagger has the acid etched Eickhorn mark used between 1935-41, the dagger and scabbard are in very good clean condition with very good crisp detail showing on all parts of this dagger and scabbard. The finish on the pommel and cross guard is consistent with the grip in good un-damaged condition, the finish on the scabbard is also consistent with the dagger as you would expect it to be. The crisp detail showing on the pommel oak leaves and the cross guard eagle have been photographed and can be clearly seen, the bands running round the scabbard have the same crisp detail also showing. The scabbard is dent free with its throat screw intact and in place, the overall condition of this dagger and scabbard is something that would be very hard to beat. The blade of the is clean with some very slight signs of age related wear these really are minimal but again I have tried to photograph these to give a crystal clear view of the item, the blade has cross grain running its full length which again this can be seen in the pictures.
The dagger has its knot in place which is in very good condition with no fraying other than one very small part which can be seen on the back of the cross guard but overall a nice example, the hangers are also in very good condition they are maker marked for Assmann with the A in circles present on both clips. The clips still retain some of the silver wash finish with good crisp detail showing, the buckles and metal straps still have there silver wash finish showing and are in excellent condition with the fabric straps also showing a good clean finish with a felt backing on the backs of the fabric straps. It is rare to have a complete set and in the condition that it is in would make this a hard set to upgrade from,one of the best I have seen all in original condition.
