Description
German Hitler youth dagger and scabbard in very good used condition. The dagger has the inscription on the blade blood and honor with clear maker mark for G.D Schaaff Solingen RZM M7/56 and dated 1937, the blade is clean and has been polished which has made the blood and honor inscription faint but can still be seen and has been photographed the blade retains its original leather buffer pad. The plated finish to the pommel and cross guard is very good with some signs of age showing but generally clean and intact, the grips have excellent detail with the HJ diamond showing age and intact with no damage the diamond does have a little movement but is tight which with this maker is normal to find. The scabbard has a makers mark showing L.S with an oak leaf in the middle, the scabbard is in excellent condition with its black painted finish intact only showing very minor signs of use, the leather belt loop is supple with its popper in place and in working condition.
