Description
Imperial Russian army M1907 Bebout Kinjal short sword in good used condition. The sword has the Russian arsenal mark for the Ziatoust arms factory with the date 1912 showing clearly on one side with the other side of the sword marked with double A with one having a crown above. On the brass fittings with the wooden handle there are other markings which have been photographed and I believe them to be regimental markings showing the sword was issued, the full-length blade is bright with a double fuller on both sides of the blade it has an edge and shows very little age-related wear. The wooden grips are held in place with two steel rivets capped on one side with a half brass cap the spine of the tang is marked 2022 and the number 10 a little further along, this has been photographed. The leather covered scabbard is complete with age related wear showing the brass fittings are tight with the lower fitting having the letter A stamped into the brass and the upper fitting having the numbers 172 and 10 showing again this has been photographed.
