WW1 Cavalry mess tins and cloth cover in good used condition.The two mess tins are both marked with the W/D arrow but one has the Canadian mark and one has the British mark.The Canadian marked tin has a makers label on the mess tin for a Montreal retailer and is dated 1913,it also has regimental marks as follows C 1 H which is for the Canadian 1st Hussars which makes this a very rare item as only a few men from that unit came to France with the C.E.F.The cloth cover shows age related wear and is complete with no faults,both the mess tins show age related wear but are complete with period replacement leather straps which are fragile and need to be handled with care.A rare and interesting item please see the photographs for further details.
