WW1 IMPERIAL GERMAN SAWBACK BUTCHER BAYONET & SCABBARD DATED 1916
Description
WW1 Imperial German butcher bayonet saw back removed and scabbard in good used condition. The bayonet has had its saw back teeth with the blade is in very good condition.
The bayonet has a makers mark for Weyersberg Kirshbaum & Cie Solingen.
It was issued in 1916 with the Imperial issue mark on top of the blade and on the pommel.
The bayonet has its wooden grip in place with the metal parts of the bayonet having a good aged related colour to the finish. The release button on the pommel is in working order.
The metal scabbard has a maker mark of Waffenfabrik Mauser A.G Oberndorf aN .
It shows good age related colour with a few dings showing caused by use.
