Description
WW1 very rare officers R J Beck trench periscope with extension bar dated 1918 and in very good condition with its fitted leather case and shoulder strap.The periscope has 95% of its period re-painted finish still in place,the optics still work fine and focus giving a good clear view with its range scale showing clearly .The periscope has had two small screws replaced which can be seen in the photographs,the periscope is clearly marked and dated it also has the war department stamp showing next to the makers details ans also at the top of the extension bar.The leather case has good stitching and does show some signs of use with age related wear but is in very good condition but with no makers details or other stampings.A very rare item these days and in this condition is very hard to find,the wooden handle is in good condition with only light signs of wear and tear.Please see the photographs for further detail.
