  WW1 Officer's death plaque for 2nd Lt Sydney Howard Hodges in good condition. 2nd Lt Hodges died on the 17th October 1914 he was an officer in the 4th Bn Royal Fusiliers and was 23 years of age. He was the son of William Davies Hodges and Mary Hodges and is remembered with honour at Aubers ridge British cemetery, Sydney's father applied for his son's

The small haversack is dated 1918 with the war department arrow and the maker mark for M.E & Co the small haversack has all its brass fittings in place and shows age related wear with one small repair on the closing flap with one small hole, please see the photographs for further details.
