WW1 Trench lantern maker marked and dated 1916 in refurbished condition.The lantern is complete and has a makers mark which shows the maker as Rippingilles of Birmingham and with the date 1916 in the centre,the top of the lantern can be opened and this can be seen in the pictures.The lantern has a door to gain entry to the inside of the lantern which has good solid hinges with no play,the lantern has had some refurbishment to the metal finish and has its original metal reservoir with its original wick.The wooden handle is free from any woodworm but has been treat as a precaution.A good display item for any WW1 collection,please see the photographs for further detail.The item is over 2 KG in weight so overseas buyers will have a separate paypal invoice sent for the postage cost.
