Description
WW2 American Cattaraugus 225Q fighting knife in good used condition. It is clearly marked for Cattaraugus 225Q just above the cross guard.
The blade is bright with signs of use and some age related wear. The leather grip is complete and tight with signs of use and the pommel has its patterned finish on the end.
It has its original leather scabbard which has good aged colour to the leather finish with its stitching intact. The leather securing strap and popper are in place and working. The leather scabbard does show some age related wear at the front were the point of the fighting knife. It has not come through but is thin in that area.
The Cattaraugus was pressed into service before the M3 fighting knife was available during WW2.
It was used by special forces, a well made good solid fighting knife.
