Description
WW2 British army mk 2 steel helmet dated 1940/39 and in good used condition. The outside of the helmet has 60% of its original finish still intact the transfer decal for the Leicestershire regiment showing the green lion is still mostly complete with a few marks showing age.The liner of the helmet is dated 1939 and marked T.T.C Teddy Toy Co Ltd. Dagenham and is a 7.5 size. The markings on the inside of the steel helmet are J.S.S Joseph Sankey & Sons Ltd Bilston dated 1940 with the date 1939 also on the helmet strap tabs, the helmet and its component parts are non magnetic.The original chin strap shows age related wear as does the original liner which for a used item is to be expected.Please see the photographs for further detail.
