Description
WW2 German Kriegsmarine bayonet and scabbard in good used condition dated 1939.The scabbard and the bayonet are both marked with the letter N which signifies that it was issued to the German Naval fleet and the letter N is for Nordsee North Sea Fleet. The bayonet has a makers mark for Coppel Gmbh with a date of 1939 and a Naval mark of N20309K, the bayonet is in good used condition and retains most of its blued finish to the blade and pommel of the bayonet.The bayonet is waffen marked on the pommel and shows age related wear caused though use with the tip of the bayonet a little of centre, this has been photographed.The scabbard shows age related wear and colour with traces of its original finish still showing in places, the scabbard has a markers mark of Berg & Co with the date 1939 and a naval mark of N6164K, it is a shame the bayonet and scabbard are not matching but still a very rare item to find with the Naval markings of both parts.Please see the photographs for further details of this very rare to find bayonet, UK sales only to over 18s.
