Description
WW2 Homefront steel helmet in very good used condition marked with the letter C on the front. The steel helmet has a grey painted finish.
It retains 95% of its painted finish the steel helmet is maker marked for B.M.B Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd of Dagenham.
It is dated 1940 the markings are faint to see but can be seen as per the photograph. The steel helmet has its original chin strap in place and is fitted with a mk 2 liner which has no markings showing.
The steel helmet is the type with three holes each side to show it was intended for civilian use or Homefront use only.
The letter C on the front could be for a number of different roles or organisations these are possible solutions, Cleansing station , Control or Controller, the steel helmet is in very good condition.
