WW2 American military issued Elgin A11 wristwatch with its original webbing strap in good working condition. The wristwatch keeps very good time for a watch of this age, the wristwatch has all its military markings on the back with a issue date of 1943 this can be seen in the photographs. The wristwatch is in its original condition with the dial and hands in good condition and as per the photographs,as usual the watch case does show some age related wear and tear with this example still very good for its age. The wristwatch keeps good time over a twenty four hour period with a little time loss as it starts to wind down, the crystal is clear showing the condition of the dial and hands.The wristwatch still has its original webbing strap in place which is marked AF 0210 again this has been photographed, the back of the watch case is clearly marked Elgin with type A11 with a serial number of AF43,the date of issue followed by 66660. I would have like to shown a picture of the movement but I do not have the correct tool to remove the back cover and I would not want to scratch the cover by trying to remove it. As I said the watch keeps good time so it would be safe to assume the watch has been serviced at some point in time.Please see the photographs for further details.
