Description

WW2 Homeguard officers haversack and shoulder strap in good used condition and dated 1940. The officers haversack is a rare part of the officers kit to find it is made from a rubberised material which is still supple and in good condition it does show age related staining but nothing that you would not expect with an item of this age. The brass fittings show good age related colour and the haversack is clearly maker marked J.W & S Ltd and dated 1940 with the war department arrow. The haversack is also named to A.V Moore with another war department arrow showing on the same side, the shoulder strap is in place and supple and has been stitched to size with two folds showing on the strap which was the normal practice for shortening the strap to the size required. The haversack has a partition on the inside with some ink markings which have been photographed. Please see the photographs or further details.
