WW1 Officers private purchase haversack and shoulder strap in good used condition.The haversack is complete and free from any damage it shows age related wear and is a very nice early example of a officers haversack, all the fitments are in place with the addition of the two bull dog clips having been added after purchase which is a period alteration.The haversack is a 03 ptn design so it would have had the shoulder strap stitched to the haversack when first purchased, the alteration has been made to suit the officers own needs from his equipment in the field, the haversack has two end compartments with two compartments inside the haversack and another compartment at the back of the haversack which still retains its original button to secure it in place.The brass fittings show good aged colour and the cord type material has age related staining, the haversack is named on the inside which I have not researched.Please see the photographs of this very rare type of officers haversack for further detail.
