WW1 Imperial German M1895 tornister dated 1917 in good used condition.The knapsack is complete it has all its leather straps in place with the correct buckles. The leather shoulder straps are supple and have good age related colour with wear, one strap is clearly dated 1917 while the other one is marked but not so clear to see the makers are different to the one on the knapsack.The main body of the knapsack is also maker marked Gutrind & Einstien Nurnberg 1917, all the leather strapping is there but do require some leather treatment as they are a bit dry due to age. The cowhide is fragile but for its age is good condition showing age related wear, the cloth webbing material is complete with signs of age and use but no damage.A very rare item to find in this condition I have taken many pictures to give a good clear view of the item, please see the photographs for further detail.
