Description
WW1 Officers extending trench periscope and leather case in very good condition. The extending trench periscope and leather case is a private purchase item.
The periscope is maker marked for R & J Beck Ltd and dated 1918 it is a periscope No 25 serial number 5862 the periscope can still be focused with its range recycle in place with the view a little cloudy the lenses have not been cleaned.
The trench periscope has all its original olive-green paint in place it has one small area where the extending bar has caught the side of the shaft this is very minor and has been photographed.
The trench periscope has its wooden handle in place which again is in very good condition and can be seen in the photographs.
The leather case for the trench periscope is in good used condition the leather shows age related colour with all its straps in place with its shoulder strap. The case has no issues with the leather and stitching it is in good used condition this can be seen in the photographs.
The leather shoulder strap has been re-stitched as it is in two parts the stitching has been done correctly with period thread this has been photographed for you to view.
