Description
WW2 German K98 bayonet and scabbard non-matching dated 1943/42 in good used condition. The bayonet has the makers code jwh which is a very rare French maker made under occupation by Staatliche Waffenfabrik Chatellerault France 1941-44 this example is dated 1943 and a serial number of 5299, the bayonet has military issue marks on the pommel which have been photographed. The bayonet has wooden grips which are in good condition with no damage just signs of use, the pommel and cross guard show minor age related wear with the blued finish intact. The blade to the bayonet is in very good condition with its blued finish intact and 100% just some very minor scabbard scars which is to be expected.
The scabbard is marked ab Mundlos and is dated 1942 it has retained its blued finish with some age minor related wear showing and one minor ding on the front of the scabbard, the scabbard has its throat rivet in place and has a serial number of 6567d and it has its military mark on the ball of the scabbard.
