Description
WW2 German 1st pattern Luftwaffe dagger and scabbard with aluminium fittings in good used condition. The dagger is maker marked for E & F Horster Solingen with a nice and clear acid etched mark showing on the blade, the blade of the dagger is in good condition with some very minor age related colour showing and with one side of the blade having a few very small nicks on the edge these can just be seen in the photographs, the blade still retains its buffer pad as per the photographs. The aluminium pommel and cross guard are clean and still have there gilt finish swastikas in place and in good condition, the handle has some age showing but nothing that would cause concern and is complete with its leather covering intact as is the wire braiding running from the top of the handle to the bottom and all in place.
The scabbard is leather covered steel with the leather covering in good condition and showing a little age in one area which has been photographed this is stable and is down to age. The aluminium fittings are in good clean condition with the aluminium hangers in place the clip for the chain hangers is marked Ges Gesch with the makers mark of O.L.C inside a diamond again this has been photographed.
