WW2 R.A.F PILOTS/NAVIGATOR OMEGA WRISTWATCH 6B/159 1942
Description
WW2 R.A.F pilots/navigator Omega wristwatch 6B/159 dated 1942 in good working condition. The wristwatch is in good working condition with its fully marked movement with 16 jewels and serial number 9817843 dating the movement between 1941 and 1945, the watch has been bench tested and keeps good time over twelve hour gaining a minute in that time the movement does still have adjustment that would bring that time keeping into line if required. The markings on the back of the wristwatch are as follows A.M 6B/159 4385/42 which dates the watch to 1942, the markings have been photographed as close as I can get them so you can see them clearly. The metal case for the watch is nice and clean and again has been photographed showing all sides, the dial of the watch is marked for Omega and still retains its original blue steel hands and second hand which are shorter than they should be but considering the rarity of the watch I do not feel they should cause concern. The dial does show age related wear and some would possibly like it cleaned but I would rather show the watch in its original condition that it came to me in and sell it in that condition, the watch has a replacement leather strap as per the photographs. Omega military watches are a excellent investment going up in value every year so please have a look at the photographs for further detail.
