Description
WW2 British army gas bag and gas mask in good used condition and named to D. A Sowden on the shoulder strap. The gas bag is maker marked G & S Ltd and dated 1941 the bag is complete with no damage and its poppers in place and working with bits shoulder strap and a spare attached to the front of the bag, the bag shows age related wear with age related staining. The gas mask is war department stamped with the arrow and dated 1938 it is still supple and is complete with all its straps in place it has many ink stamps which have been photographed and has the longer hose so it would not restrict movement when used in action the canister is dated 1941 with a makers mark of J S T Ltd and is a No 4A it also has the dog tag for D A Sowden showing a service number of 268912 attached to the cannister this has been photographed. The fittings on the webbing bag show good age related colour making a nice used example perfect for display, this item is only intended for this purpose and should never be worn. The bag also contains a packet of eye shields anti gas MK II dated 1941 with two pairs still wrapped inside the packet and a tube of Anti dimming mk V cloth dated 1940.
